Race fans will enjoy a later start time and a Super Late Model doubleheader this Saturday at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway as the best local racers compete in the seventh round of the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series.
A new schedule has been formulated to compensate for the summer weather. Pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. Qualifying is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with opening ceremonies taking place at 7 p.m.
Super Late Models will open and close the racing action with a pair of 50-lap features. Joining the Super Late Models will be the IMCA Modifieds (30 laps), Chargers (30 laps), Legends Cars (25 laps) and the Bullring Bombers (40 laps).
Young fans (5-12 years of age) may sign up for the Pit Crew Club for $5 and have their picture taken for their membership card. Membership kits include free admission to selected races, Pit Boss memorabilia, and a few surprises. They also will have the chance to be crew chief for the night.
Adult general admission is $12. Local adults are admitted for $10 with a valid
