Fans will have the opportunity to dunk the general manager of Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Chris Powell, and six local drivers at the Bullring on Sunday, July 3 as part of the Night of Fire festivities. All proceeds will benefit The Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities.
Dunk-A-Driver is scheduled from 5-6 p.m. and will be located on the midway. Drivers scheduled to participate include: Chris Clyne, Stoney Gray, Justin Johnson, Chuck Trickle, Justin Good and Taylor Barton.
Chris Powell is scheduled to be in the dunk tank from 6:30-7 p.m.
Fans also will enjoy a fireworks display, a jet fire truck car burn, destruction of the old scoreboard and the popular on-track driver autograph session.
In addition to the highlighted features, the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series will run six feature races. The night will include Super Late Models (50 laps), 3-888-Law Chargers (30 laps), Sudden Impact Auto Body IMCA Modifieds (30 laps), Delta Gunite Legends Cars (25 laps), Thunder Roadsters (20 laps) and 7-Eleven Bullring Bombers (30 laps).
Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. Qualifying is set for 5:30 p.m. with opening ceremonies at 7 p.m. The autograph session will take place from 6-6:45 p.m.
Adult general admission is $12. Local fans are admitted at $10 with a valid
