Indy Racing League star Davey Hamilton is returning to Las Vegas with his Supermodified Racing League (SRL) on Oct. 5 at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Hamilton, a two-time Indy Racing League runner-up and part owner of the SRL, will be attending the racing activities on Oct.5 but is not scheduled to compete.

¿I am so excited to be back in Las Vegas with my SRL Supermodified race cars,¿ said Hamilton. ¿These open-wheeled wonders are sure to bring excitement to the Bullring once again. I am just counting down the days until I can get back in a competitive race car myself.¿

Hamilton¿s racing career has been on hold since a severe crash in June 2001 at Texas Motor Speedway. After more than 20 surgeries, Hamilton is expected to return to the seat of an Indy Car for testing prior to his arrival in Las Vegas for the SRL event.
In addition to the SRL Supermodifies the USSS Indy cars, ARCA trucks, and IMCA modifieds will the fill the race card for the evening¿s events.

Pit gates will open at 2 p.m., with spectator gates opening at 5. Practice begins at 3 p.m. and racing begins at 7.
