Jason Leffler has raced just about everything but a dragster at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Leffler has competed in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, NASCAR Busch Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the Indy Racing League at LVMS and will compete in a fifth type of racing vehicle at the USAC race on Saturday.

"I¿m looking forward to coming to Las Vegas and running on the little track," Leffler said. "I won a race there in 1997 with the USAC Midgets.

"Obviously with the time off on Thanksgiving weekend, we don¿t have any other races scheduled so it¿s nice to come out west where I¿m from and race."

This year, Leffler started seventh in the Las Vegas 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck race and posted a fifth-place finish, his best finish at the 1.5-mile superspeedway. Last year Leffler competed in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series event and in 2000 he competed in the NASCAR Busch Series race and the IRL race.

Leffler will battle NASCAR Winston Cup champion Tony Stewart and series points leaders Dave Darland and J.J. Yeley for the victory.

A one-hour autograph session for all drivers is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
