KB Home, one of America¿s largest homebuilders, will partner with the Southern Nevada Dodge Dealers and Las Vegas Motor Speedway to sponsor the KB Home Showdown presented by the Southern Nevada Dodge Dealers at the Bullring Feb. 27. The showdown will kick off the NASCAR weekend and include a 100-lap Super Late Model feature, 30-lap I.M.C.A. Modified race and two 20-lap Legends Cars races. ¿We are excited to have the opportunity to be part of this inaugural event,¿ said Leah Bryant, president of KB Home. ¿This is a great way to kick off the biggest sports weekend in Nevada, and we¿re very happy to be playing such a significant role. In addition, we also will be sponsoring Mike Cofer in the race.¿ Cofer, a former Super Bowl champion kicker for the San Francisco 49ers, will drive the No. 04 KB Home-sponsored car for the showdown. ¿The Southern Nevada Dodge Dealers are very pleased to present this race at the beginning of race weekend her in Las Vegas,¿ said Jim Baldridge, dealer operations manager. ¿As a major sponsor of the NASCAR Weekly Racing Series, Dodge is excited to be part of the great American tradition of local Automobile Racing. We know that Las Vegas racing fans will be treated to a great event and enjoy this terrific venue.¿ Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. Qualifying is set for 6:30 with racing at 7:15. General admission is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens/ military personnel and $3 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $25. Admission to the Stockyard is $30 per vehicle (up to four people). Pit gates open at 2p.m. Admission to the pits is $20 for NASCAR members and $25 for non-members. NASCAR weekend includes the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 NASCAR Winston Cup Series race March 2, Sam¿s Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series race March 1 and the World of Outlaws Feb. 28 and March 1.
