The Mechanix Wear Speed Trucks will make their second appearance this season Saturday night in a 99-lap race as part of The Orleans NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Lee Hatch and his BHRM Motorsports/RBS Graphics Ford Ranger will be looking for his second win this season at the Bullring and his fifth win overall. Hatch leads John Burritt, driver of the SBC Smart Yellow Pages Chevrolet, 290-278 in the 2003-point standings. Burritt, of Sparks, has posted two wins at the Bullring this year in the Semi-Pro Legends Cars division. Chargers (25 laps), Bandolero Cars (10 laps), Legends Cars (20 laps), Stewart Motorsports IMCA Modifieds (25 laps), and Thunder Roadsters (15 laps) presented by Tri-State Petroleum and VP Racing Fuels also are on the racing card this Saturday. Drivers leading the point standings in their respective divisions are Chuck Trickle (Super Late Models), Ken Kulikowski (IMCA Modifieds), Glen Burke (Late Models), Tom Youmans (Chargers), Rick Rogas (Master Legends), Michael Fredericks (Pro Legends), Taylor Barton (Semi-Pro Legends), Dave Green (Thunder Roadsters), and Jonathan Mawhinney (Bandoleros). Junior race fans can register for the Bullring Pit Crew Kids Club at any weekly series this season. The program is free to children ages 5-12. Spectator gates open at 6:00pm. General admission is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens/military personnel and $3 for children ages 6-12. Children five and under are free. Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. Admission for NASCAR members is $20 and $25 for non- members.
