Local racing sensation Kyle Busch will headline Thursday night¿s Night of Fire at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Busch, who now competes in the NASCAR Busch Series and ARCA for Hendrick Motorsports, will compete in both a Super Late Model and a Legends car as part of the Orleans NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. Busch will have plenty of competition in the 75-lap Super Late Model event. He finished second to Mike Cofer on Feb. 27, and will have to deal with Cofer, points leader Chuck Trickle and young guns Spencer Clark and David Anderson. Busch will be driving a Dick Cobb-prepared Chevrolet sponsored by RC Racing Decals. In addition, a fireworks display in celebration of the Fourth of July is scheduled at approximately 10:00pm. Busch will pilot a Legends car owned by Greg Haase in the Pro-Legends race. Busch is a former Bullring track champion in Legends Cars. Late Models, Stewart Motorsports IMCA Modifieds, Legends Cars (Semi-Pro), Legends Cars (Master), a demolition derby and jet car burn of a Ford LTD also are on tap for this Thursday night. Point leaders in each division are: Glen Burke (Late Models), Ken Kulikowski (IMCA Modifieds), Michael Fredericks (Pro-Legends Cars), Rick Rogas (Master Legends Cars) and Alex Haase (Semi-Pro Legends Cars). Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with qualifying at 5:45 and racing at 7:15. General admission is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens/military personnel and $3 for children ages 6-12. Children five and under are free. Pit gates open at 3:30 p.m. Admission for NASCAR members is $20 and $25 for non-members.
