The 13th annual Legends Cars Asphalt Nationals and third annual Thunder Roadsters Asphalt Nationals will be held at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Oct. 7-9. The INEX-sanctioned Legends Cars and Thunder Roadsters Nationals were held at the Bullring in 2001 and marked the first appearance of the prestigious event at a west coast facility. In previous years, the national event was held at Southern National Speedway (Kenly, N.C.), Dodge City (Kans.) Raceway Park and Lowe¿s Motor Speedway (Charlotte, N.C.). Legends Cars state champions from across the nation will converge on the Bullring for the three-day event. The Legends Cars division is divided into three different categories: Semi-Pro, Pro and Masters. The Semi-Pro division is designed for novice drivers, while the Pro division is for the most experience drivers and the Masters division is designed for competitors over the age of 40. "We are excited for the Legends Nationals to return to the Bullring,¿ said Andy Adamcik, LVMS¿ manager of short track racing. ¿Having the top Legends Car drivers from the United States, Canada and Europe competing at our facility is a great addition to our 2004 schedule. The addition of the third annual Thunder Roadster Nationals will truly make this a great event.¿ "INEX is certainly looking forward to having the Legends Asphalt Nationals at Las Vegas,¿ said Darrel Krentz, INEX executive director. ¿Many competitors have wanted to return to The Bullring and are already making plans.
