Las Vegas Motor Speedway officials have decided that the fastest way to race fans¿ hearts is through their stomachs.

LVMS, in cooperation with its concessionaire, Levy Restaurants, has lowered most concessions prices at the Bullring for the 2005 season.

Saturday marks the beginning of the 2005 NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series, and race fans will find many of their favorite food and beverage items to be less expensive than in previous years at the 3/8ths-mile paved oval.

¿Each year we make an effort to improve the atmosphere and experience for our race fans,¿ said Chris Powell, LVMS general manager.  ¿We are grateful that our friends at Levy have helped us continue to make the Bullring one of the best and most affordable forms of family entertainment in the Las Vegas Valley.¿

The Bullring will unveil its $2 menu on Saturday. Among the items available for $2 are Bull Dogs (hot dogs), nachos, popcorn and peanuts.

Race fans also will notice a reduction in admission prices.  General admission is $10 for adults with a valid Nevada driver¿s license, $8 for senior citizens, military personnel with ID, college students with ID and $5 for children 6-12.  Children five and under are free.  A Family Four Pack can be purchased for $24.  The Crazy 8s package is also available this season which offers race fans eight tickets for $8 each.

Spectator gates open at 6 p.m.  Qualifying is set for 6:20 with racing at 7:20.
