Mascots from around Las Vegas will join Las Vegas Motor Speedway's mascot Pit Boss for his birthday bash Saturday at the Bullring for the second annual Mascot Night at the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series. Invited to attend the event are The Duke of the Las Vegas Wranglers, Happy House of KB Homes, Thraxx of the Las Vegas Gladiators, Big Al of The Orleans Hotel and Casino, RJ of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and Hey Reb of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. The mascots will compete in a scooter race before the feature events, visit with race fans throughout the night and will join members of the Pit Crew Club to help Pit Boss celebrate his birthday from 6-7 p.m. under the grandstands. All Pit Crew Club members with their badge will receive free admission and access to the party. The evening will be packed with racing as the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series will run six feature events. The night will include Super Late Models (50 laps), Chargers (30 laps), Delta Gunite Legends (25 laps), Sudden Impact Auto Body IMCA Modifieds (30 laps), Thunder Roadsters (20 laps) and Bandoleros (TBA). Pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. Qualifying is scheduled for 6 p.m. with opening ceremonies at 7:15 p.m. The Bullring has joined forces with Green Flag Recycling and will be accepting used cell phones. There will be a collection box located at the main ticket gate. All proceeds from the recycled phones will benefit The Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities. Fans who attended Bristol Bash on August 27 may redeem their Bring-Your Buddies Bonanza coupons for $5 off the regular adult admission price. Adult general admission is $10. Admission for senior citizens, military personnel with ID and college students with ID is $8. Children 6-12 are $5 and kids five and under are free. A Family Four Pack may be purchased for $24. The Crazy 8s package is also available this season which offers race fans eight tickets for $8 each.
