USAC California Pavement Ford Focus Midget Series driver Jace Meier will make his Late Model racing debut at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway behind the wheel of Dustin Ash Racing's No. 11 Late Model on May 27.
The high school junior, who was recently elected class president at Spring Valley High School and has an accumulated 4.217 GPA, is considered to be a top contender for the Ford Focus Midget Series season championship in 2006.  During his 2005 season, Meier collected two wins and four "Earl's Fast Qualifier Awards" in just 13 races.
Meier is looking forward to returning to the Bullring.  In 2004, he competed in the Legends Semi-Pro division.
"I have a ton of laps around the Bullring and I feel very confident in the No. 11 car," Meier said.  "I'm very happy with the program so far despite the limited testing we've done in the Late Model."
Meier has also tested and earned a spot to drive select races for Dean Motorsports out of Norfolk, Va.  Dean Motorsports is a top Joe Gibbs Racing Development Team and has worked with Denny Hamlin, Mark McFarland and Woody Howard.
