Rookie Bear Rzesnowiecky of Las Vegas won his first Super Late Model/Late Model Combo class feature - while Jeff Connors made his fourth trip to victory lane -- at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Chris Bray led the first 33-lap Super Late Model/Late Model Combo feature to the green flag, only to see the caution flag fly as cars spun in Turn 1. Josh Gross drove past Bray on the restart to lead the first lap.  The caution flag flew again on lap 4, this time for Bray's spin in Turn 2. Gross led the field on the restart and was immediately challenged by Bear Rzesnowiecky. Rzesnowiecky took the lead in Turn 4 on lap 5 and began to pull away from the pack.   Jeff Connors began to reel in Rzesnowiecky at the halfway point.  The lead changed on lap 20 as the pair raced down the back straightaway and Rzesnowiecky found himself blocked by a lapped car.  That was all Connors needed to grab the lead as Matt Jaskol also took advantage of the situation and slipped into second place.  Rzesnowiecky found himself back in second place on lap 28 as Jaskol spun out in Turn 2.   Connors had the horsepower to hold him off on the restart as past champion Scott Gafforini joined the fray.  The trio finished in that order: Connors, followed by Rzesnowiecky and Gafforini. Branden Giannini was the highest-finishing Late Model driver across the finish line (sixth place).

Steve Anderson led the first three laps of the second 33-lap Super Late Model/Late Model Combo class feature until Bear Rzesnowiecky passed him on the back chute. Josh Gross and Steve Anderson crashed on lap 6. The race restarted with Rzesnowiecky in the lead, followed by Robert Ewing and Scott Gafforini. Rzesnowiecky pulled away from the pack as the race wore on, but Gafforini began to reel him in with 10 laps remaining. Lapped traffic again figured heavily in the final laps of the race but Rzesnowiecky kept Gafforini at bay and went on to score his first Super Late Model/Late Model Combo class victory. Gafforini finished second and Matt Jaskol was third. Chris Birdsong drove the highest-finishing Late Model (sixth place).

Mario Opipari was leading the Charger feature when the race was halted on lap 6 for a five-car accident on the front chute. Involved in the wreck were Joe Finger, Dan Schools, Chad Mattos, Jerry Gentry and Chuck Burgess. No one was injured but at least three cars were eliminated from competition. Opipari held the lead on the restart, followed closely by points leader Phil Goodwin and Matt Cunningham. Opipari won his first Charger feature of the 2008 campaign, followed by Goodwin and Cunningham.

A caution flag for a spinning car in Turn 2 on lap 17 of the Legends Cars feature orchestrated a three-lap dash between leader Jack Madrid and Dylan Kwasnieweski.  The pair traded the lead several times before the caution flag flew again with one lap remaining.  The green flag appeared and the race's frontrunners resumed the battle but the caution flag waved again, this time for a one-car crash on the front straightaway. The boys battled clean and hard on the final lap and Madrid edged Kwasniewski by less than one car length. Karl Forman finished third.

Bandolero Bandit driver Jonathan Eakin enjoyed a sizeable lead on a snarling five-car pack until a mid-race crash placed the field on his rear bumper.  The race evolved into a three-car battle for glory with Eakin holding off Nicholas Thigpen and Jacob Tilton at the checkered flag.

Hayley Lager and Patrick O'Hanley waged a heated first-place battle during the early stages of the 12-lap Bandolero Young Guns feature.  The pair raced side-by-side for a number of laps until Lager took command and led O'Hanley across the finish line by one car length. Ashlee Ambriz finished third.

Justin Johnson hopped into the lead on the opening lap of the Thunder Roadster feature and led all 20 circuits to score his ninth victory of the 2008 season.  Jared Carpenter finished second and Josh Gross was third.

The 30-lap Bomber wet-track race was won by Jesse Day. Fred Harding finished second and Bryan Gerald was third.

Preliminaries:  The six-lap Bandolero Bandit heat race was won by Jonathan Eakin.  Hayley Lager won the Bandolero Young Guns heat.  Matt Johnson won the first Charger heat race by a nose over Vinny Raucci and Mario Opipari.  Matt Cunningham won the second Charger heat race.  Bomber heats were won by Fred Harding and Dan Nelson.  Jared Carpenter won the eight-lap Thunder Roadster qualifying heat.

The $200 Budweiser Super Late Model/Late Model Combo Dash was won by Matt Jaskol. Dylan Kwasniewski won the Budweiser Legends Cars Dash.

Charger drivers participated in the annual Keith Danser Candy Toss, distributing confectionary treats to the delight of young Bullring fans.  Ed "Outlaw" Jones thrilled the fans with his Jelly Belly-sponsored wheel-standing stagecoach.  Emerald Opipari Yancey sang the National Anthem.  Tamara Tillman won the $750 Ronix wakeboard in the hula hoop contest.
