Competition Rules and Car Eligibility

This event will be run in accordance with the applicable Las Vegas Motor Speedway rules, the provisions of this entry form, special rules applicable to this event and any amendment made prior to the race date.  In the event of a conflict between the LVMS rules and the entry form, the LVMS Tech Director's decision will be final.
All cars must pass inspection before entering the track for practice or qualifying.

Official Tire and Wheel

Hoosier Tire 970 is the only tire permitted.  Tires may not be altered in any way. Tires must be purchased from, and branded by, LVMS. 

Weight

The minimum weight limit of 2,500 lbs., with driver, will be enforced.  Cars may be weighted at any time.

Mirrors

All cars are allowed to use a center-mount mirror for this event.  Driver's side mirrors will not be allowed.

Radios

Radios are permitted for this event.

Pre-Event Tech Inspection and Registration

A pre-event tech inspection and late registration event will take place Wednesday, Oc. 22, at the Bullring from 5-10 p.m.  All pre-event tech inspections can be completed at this time and credentials for every day of the event may be purchased.

Pit Area Parking

Pit area parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

RVs are permitted in the pit area; however there is NO overnight camping allowed in the pits.  The closest RV parks are located at Circus Circus on the Strip (near Sahara) and Sam's Town on Nellis Blvd. at E. Flamingo.

Trailers may be left in the pit area overnight.  The pit area will be secured each night of the event.  You may also leave your trailers in the pit area Saturday night and pick them up Sunday morning.  All trailers must be removed from the Bullring pit area by 7 a.m. Monday.

Pit Area Rules

o Open-toed shoes are not permitted in the pit area.

o Personal (non-tow) vehicles must be parked in your pit stall or parked in the lot located outside of the pit area.

o There is no minimum age in the pit area.  All minors must have a signed minor's release to enter the pit area.

o Bicycles are the only means of transportation in the pits.  No motorized vehicles are permitted.

o No pets of any kind are allowed inside the gates at the Bullring.

Tech Inspection

All cars must go though tech inspection prior to taking the track for practice.

Once you have completed the initial tech inspection, you will not be required to go through tech until qualifying. All cars are subject to tech inspection before and/or after qualifying and racing.

Scales will be set up all weekend for your use in reaching your proper weight for the event.

Race Format (Modifieds)

All cars must draw for qualifying position prior to 4 p.m. Friday

Qualifying will be contested in groups of 5 cars for 4 laps.  Failure to present car in order will result in 1 lap at the end of qualifying.

Top 16 qualifiers transfer directly to the A-Feature and run the dashes on Friday night to determine A-Feature starting positions. Qualifying positions 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15 will run a dash to determine starting positions 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15 (inside row) for the A-Feature. Qualifying positions 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 will run a dash to determine starting positions 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 (outside row) for the A-Main.

Qualifiers 17 + will run Friday qualifying heat race(s) on Friday. Odd-numbered qualifying positions (17, 19, 21, etc.) will run Qualifying Heat Race No. 1.  Even-numbered qualifiers (18, 20, 22, etc.) will run Qualifying Heat Race No. 2.  The top 4 from each qualifying heat transfer to the A-Feature. Those transferring from Qualifying Heat Race No. 1 will start the A-Feature in positions 17, 19, 21, and 23 (inside row). Those transferring from Qualifying Heat Race No. 2 will start the A-Feature in positions 18, 20, 22, and 24 (outside row).

All other cars not transferring from the qualifying heat race will transfer to either the C-Feature (if needed) or B-Feature.

Top 2 from B-Feature will transfer to the A-Feature. 

The A-Feature will consist of a 26-car field.

No inverts will be used for this event.

Group qualifying - 5 cars 4 laps
Dash (for top 16 qualifiers)  - 10 laps
Qualifying heat race(s)  - 10 laps
B-Feature - 15 laps
A-Feature - 40 laps

Race Procedures

o All cars must go through tech prior to making a qualifying attempt.

o All cars will receive the green flag the first time by the flag stand during qualifying.

o Race start and re-start area is the lines painted across the track in turn 4.

o On initial start, all cars must stay behind the car in front until crossing the start finish line, no passing.

o On single-file restarts, cars may pass on the outside prior to the start/finish line only after green flag is displayed.

o Any car jumping the start will be penalized to the last car on the lead lap at the next caution or end of the race.

o The leader must maintain the speed of the pace car until the green is displayed or be penalized to the rear of the field.

o Any driver causing two single-car caution periods in a race will be disqualified from that race.

o Rough driving will not be tolerated.  Any driver causing an accident during the first 3 laps of an event will be disqualified from the event.

o The "move-over flag" (blue with diagonal orange stripe) will be used.  Lapped traffic must move to the outside to allowthe leaders to pass.

o Pit area speed limit is 5 mph for all vehicles.  Golf carts, scooters, quads, or any other motorized vehicles are not allowed in the pits.

o Cars may be worked on in the pit area during a race and the car may return to the track.

Purse checks will be mailed from LVMS the week following the event. Checks will be made payable to the name on the W-9 form. W-9 form must be on file before purse checks will be mailed out.
