Twelve track champions were crowned at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday night, and the final 2016 points standings have been calculated and confirmed.

Justin Johnson of Las Vegas topped six-time track champion Scott Gafforini 272-250 for the NASCAR Super Late Models season championship, his third career track title. Johnson, who also has a USLCI Thunder Cars championship from 2008 and a 2000 USLCI Bandolero Outlaws crown, won four of the last five races of the season en route to the victory.

Robert and R.J. Smotherman became just the second family members -- after Pat Petrie Jr. and Pat Petrie Sr. in 2001 -- to win Bullring season championships in the same year after Robert clinched the skid plate car division and his son, R.J., won his second consecutive USLCI Bandolero Bandits title. The other member of the Smotherman racing family, R.J.'s older sister Dylin, finished fourth in the NASCAR Super Stocks division.

All drivers dropped their worst performance from the 2016 season, making the Sept. 24 Championship Night even more exciting in the close points races.

The tightest battle came in the NASCAR Super Stocks division, where Don Sargent held off a charging Matt Larsen by five points, 204-199, for the season crown. Larsen won the last three races of the year as Sargent battled car troubles, but fell short in the end.

Peyton Saxton came from behind in the NASCAR Grand American Modifieds division, winning the final two races of the season to edge Vinny Raucci Jr. by a score of 171-162. It was Saxton's fourth career Bullring season championship.

Chris Bosley's second USLCI Thunder Cars championship in three seasons was a neck-and-neck affair with Travis Boyle, who won three features in 2016. Bosley won a class-best six races during the season and held off Boyle 243-225.

Caden Carlin took advantage of Dezel West's absence from the season finale, earning 22 points to break a tie and win his fifth track title 207-185. Kayla Eshleman clinched the USLCI Bandolero Outlaws crown with a win on Championship Night, topping Camden Larsen 228-200 in the final season standings.

In other divisions, Sam Jacks won his first Bullring championship by finishing atop the NASCAR Bombers class points standings and Cameron Morga used his eighth win of the season to secure the USLCI Legends-Pro title. Michael Todd Glazier won his fourth straight USLCI Legends-Masters championship and Brian Williams cruised to the USLCI Legends-Semi-Pro title.

One of the most affordable entertainment options in Las Vegas, the Bullring features family friendly concession prices that include $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer. Spectators can also save money by purchasing tickets in advance by visiting or calling the LVMS ticket office at 702.644.4444 or going online at LVMS.com.
