The stage is set for the eight divisional points battles that will soon play out at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The 3/8-mile short track will close its 2017 season with Championship Night on Oct. 7, when eight track titles will be decided in front of a diehard crowd. Several former points champions are poised to add to their legacies, while other class championships could go to first-timers on the special night.

Reigning NASCAR Super Late Models track champion Justin Johnson stands 17 points ahead of four-time Bullring champion Peyton Saxton, 265-248, heading into the final points race of the year, while Court Connell's lead over Johnny Spilotro shrunk to 19 points, 215-196, over the weekend.

Aaron McMorran clinched the NASCAR Grand American Modifieds crown on Sept. 9 and leads the NASCAR Bombers division by a margin of 267-228 over Sam and Kyle Jacks, who are tied for second heading into the final race. If McMorran holds on to the Bombers title, he will become the first driver in Bullring history to win two divisions in the same season.

Tyler Fabozzi is a virtual lock to sew up the USLCI Legends championship, as he leads four-time track champ Michael Todd Glazier 298-221 in that division. Ron Reed is also poised to claim his first Bullring crown, thanks to a 240-181 advantage over Ed Hohman in the USLCI Thunder Cars class.

In the USLCI Bandolero Outlaws division, Camden Larsen appears headed to his first Bullring title, holding a 226-171 lead over Jaron Giannini, while James Brazzeal is in control of the Skid Plate Cars class with a 105-84 margin over Jeff Bargerhuff. In perhaps what could be the closest race of all, Braden Connor leads Amilleo Thomson 208-201 in the USLCI Bandolero Outlaws division.

Spectators can save money by buying tickets in advance for $8 through the LVMS Ticket Office at 702-644-4444 or online at LVMS.com, and all children 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult. The Bullring concession stand offers great prices, including $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products.
