The Hoosier Tire Late Model class has been added to the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s schedule. The class will compete on Sept. 1 and Sept. 2 with 50-lap features on both nights. Each feature will pay $700 to the winner.

Saturday, Sept. 1 – NASCAR Whelen All-American Series – Whelen Night at the Races.
NASCAR Super Late Models, NASCAR Super Stocks, NASCAR Bombers, USAC Focus Midget Series, USAC Focus Young Gun Midget Series, USLCI Legends Cars, USLCI Bandoleros, Hoosier Tire Late Models.

Sunday, Sept. 2 – Sunday Shootout Race No. 3 (evening show).
Twin USAC Focus Midget Series and USAC Young Gun Midget Series features, Hoosier Tire Late Models, ASA Truck Series, USLCI Legends Cars, USLCI Bandoleros, USLCI Roadsters, Bullring Hornets (4 cyl.), waterless boat races.

Hooiser Tire Late Model rules:
Open to any Late Model perimeter chassis with ABC-type body.
Steering box and one-piece OEM-style lower control arm.
Any steel, non-adjustable shock absorber (no bump stops or coil binding).
Any 8-inch steel wheel.
Hoosier 970 tire only. Tires are available at the track: (702) 768-8968.
Holley 4412-500 cfm gauge legal two-barrel carburetor only.
Maximum tread width: 67.5 in. center to center.

Weights:
GM 604 type engine – 2,900 lbs. (57% left-side maximum).
Vegas Vortec head engine – 2,950 lbs. (57% left-side maximum).
Leaf spring chassis – add 1% to left side.
Rack-and-pinion steering – add 50 lbs.
Straight-rail chassis – deduct 2% left side.
