Star Nursery, the leading retail and commercial nursery in Southern Nevada and Southern Utah, will sponsor the June 2 NASCAR K&N West Pro Series 200 at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The second annual race will be called the Star Nursery 200.

“We’re delighted to welcome Craig Keough and Star Nursery as the title sponsor of our annual NASCAR K&N West Pro Series event,” said LVMS President Chris Powell. “Star Nursery has a rich and lengthy history with both NASCAR and our speedway. It’s great to have Craig and Star Nursery back at the Bullring for this premier NASCAR event.”

Star Nursery, with 10 locations in Nevada and Utah, sponsored 2004 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Kurt Busch when he won the 1999 NASCAR Featherlite Southwest Series title. It also has sponsored a number of series races, Las Vegas driver Chris Trickle and currently support Greg Pursley, winner of the Bullring’s 2011 NASCAR K&N West Pro Series event and K&N season Champion.

“Star Nursery has been a strong partner of NASCAR racing for many years and has been involved with LVMS since the track opened in 1996,” said Star Nursery President Craig Keough. “We’re really excited to join back up in an even larger role as sponsor of the K&N West Series event at the Bullring. We're looking forward to a great event, and it's great to be a part of the NASCAR community.”

Local teenager Dylan Kwasniewski is among the favorites in this year’s event. The 17-year old Las Vegan won last week’s K&N event in Stockton, Calif., and finished second in last year’s K&N event at the Bullring.

The June 2 race night also will include the NASCAR Super Late Models, NASCAR Super Stocks, NASCAR Bombers, USLCI Legends Cars and USLCI Bandoleros. Spectator gates will open at 4 p.m. Discount tickets may be purchased in advance by calling LVMS at (702) 644-4444 or online at Follow LVMS on Facebook and Twitter.
