Steve Kinser looks to add another championship to his racing credentials at the O¿Reilly World of Outlaws Las Vegas Finals at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Friday and Saturday. ¿The King of the Outlaws¿ is a 17-time champion and looks to match that number with an 18th championship at the ½-mile dirt oval. ¿The championship is what we worked all year for,¿ Kinser said. ¿I¿ve had a lot of luck at Las Vegas. It¿s like any other track where you have your good nights and bad but we¿ve run pretty well there most of the time.¿ Kinser simply needs to make a qualifying lap to clinch this year¿s title, but that doesn¿t mean he will take it easy. ¿You race every race to win,¿ Kinser said. ¿That¿s the best way to cap off a championship season is to do it with a win. We¿ve had some success in Las Vegas, and we always enjoy coming there.¿ Although Kinser posted a 13th-place finish at the spring event, he was run well at LVMS in the past. In fact, Kinser swept both the spring and fall events in 2002 and was crowned the champion at the Las Vegas Finals. The O¿Reilly World of Outlaws Las Vegas Finals will be broadcast on a tape-delayed basis on the Outdoor Channel Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. each day with practice at 6, qualifying at 6:30 and racing at 7:15. For tickets, call 800-644-4444 or visit
