World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series set to end

2006 season at the dirt track at LVMS



The World of Outlaws Sprint Series rolls into Las Vegas for the 2006 Las Vegas Finals at the half-mile dirt track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Oct. 27-28 in conjunction with the NHRA ACDelco Las Vegas Nationals at The Strip at LVMS.

The two-day series finale is the last chance for Sprint Car fans to enjoy the mud-slinging, high-powered race action this season.  Joining the premiere Sprint Car series will be the IMCA Modifieds. 

Donny Schatz, the series' current points leader, will be looking for a repeat performance after winning in Las Vegas in March.


Schedule for Oct. 27 and 28:

6 p.m. - Spectator gates open, wheel packing begins.

6:15 p.m. - World of Outlaws practice.

7 p.m. - World of Outlaws qualifying.

7:35 p.m. – IMCA Modified practice.

7:40 p.m. – Pre-race ceremonies and national anthem.

7:45 p.m. – World of Outlaws heat races (8 laps each).

8:45 p.m. – IMCA Modified exhibition race (12 cars, 6 laps).

8:55 p.m. – World of Outlaws Dash.

9:05 p.m. – World of Outlaws B-Main (12 laps).

9:30 p.m. – IMCA Modified exhibition race (12 cars, 8 laps).

9:40 p.m. – World of Outlaws A-Main (25 laps Friday, 30 laps Saturday).
