SATURDAY: Joey Saldana of Brownsburg, Ind., won the 30-lap ASCS Sprint Car feature on the final night of the Las Vegas Sprint Car Nationals Presented By K&N Filters tonight at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Saldana, driving the Budweiser Sprint Car owned by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series star Kasey Kahne, started from the pole and easily led 23 laps before the first caution flag flew for a car stopped on the back straightaway. Saldana's comfortable lead was erased and the interruption placed the field squarely on his rear bumper. The race restarted and Saldana resumed his romp on the half-mile dirt oval. Saldana won easily and Brian Brown, a full straightaway behind the winner, finished second. Sammy Swindell finished third, Jack Dover was fourth and Friday's winner, Tony Stewart was fifth.

FRIDAY: Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart won the first edition of the Las Vegas Sprint Car Nationals Presented By K&N Filters tonight at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The win was Stewart's first-ever Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Car victory in only his second ASCS start.

The redraw following the B-Features placed Tony Stewart and teammate Jessica Zemken together in the third row in sixth and fifth positions, respectively. At the opening green flag, Sam Hafertepe Jr. ran from the fourth row to take the lead. Following a caution flag for debris with 15 laps remaining, Stewart, driving Steve KInser's car, passed two cars and took the lead. As soon as Stewart took the lead he began to put distance between himself and second-place runner Brian Brown. Jack Dover occupied third place. The caution flag flew again with 10 laps remaining and Stewart held the top spot on the restart and once again ran away from the field. Another caution flag with two laps remaining gave Brown one more shot at Stewart. The final green flag flew, Stewart dropped the hammer and went on to win his first ASCS Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series win. Brown finished second and Dover was third.
