Midnight Mayhem Friday night at The Strip at LVMS;

"A safe place to race"

            LAS VEGAS -- The latest edition of Midnight Mayhem at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will take place on Friday, October 18.  Previous Midnight Mayhem events have averaged 400 cars and bikes -- and over 2,000 spectators.

The late-night program, designed to attract illegal street racers to the safer environment of The Strip at LVMS, has been so popular that the schedule has been expanded twice in recent months.

            Midnight Mayhem is open to any licensed driver with a currently registered car or motorcycle with proof of insurance.  Vehicles must be driven (not towed) to the track.  Drivers under the age of 18 are required to present a completed parental consent form.  Gates will open at  8 p.m., with racing from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.  Entry fee is $10.  Spectator admission is $5.

            Each Midnight Mayhem is supported by Titan Auto Insurance and features a nightclub DJ and import aftermarket car show provided by Maximum Performance.

Midnight Mayhem will continue through the year on Nov. 15 and Dec. 6.
