Tickets for the fourth annual NHRA Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway are now on sale.

The event, which features nitromethane-burning dragsters dueling at 320-plus mph, is set for April 3-6, 2003.  The NHRA Nationals is the first of two NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series events scheduled for The Strip in 2003.

¿Our NHRA national events continue to grow in stature every year,¿ said Chris Powell, LVMS president and general manager.  ¿These race weekends present many thrilling storylines.  And during our recent fall event, we launched our extremely popular Club Nitro fan hospitality area.  NHRA tickets make excellent holiday gifts, and I¿m sure drag racing fans would love to find a pair of these in their stockings.¿

Topping the entry list for the NHRA Nationals will be 12-time Funny Car champion John Force and 2002 champions Larry Dixon (Top Fuel) and Jeg Coughlin Jr. (Pro Stock). In addition, Brandon Bernstein, son of racing legend Kenny Bernstein, will make his Las Vegas debut in a Top Fuel dragster.

For the first time, LVMS is offering a $35 reserved seat ticket for Friday¿s qualifying session. Tickets for Saturday¿s qualifying are $50 reserved and $40 for general admission. Reserved seats for Sunday¿s eliminations are $60 and general admission seats are $50. LVMS also is offering platinum seating in the ¿upper deck.¿ These seats are reserved and sell for $45 on Friday, $60 on Saturday and $75 on Sunday. Four-day weekend tickets ranging from $100 to $299 also are available.
