Craig, Lamb win Shortline Express Markets NHRA Jr. Dragster finals, championships at The Strip at LVMS

Henderson residents Tristan Craig and Justin Lamb won final rounds of competition in their respective categories and also clinched season championships at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday morning.

Craig, 10, defeated Jon Irving of Boulder City to win the Thunder class in The Strip's 2003 Shortline Express Markets NHRA Jr. Dragster Series.  His victory also secured the championship in that division.  Lamb, 16, defeated Steven Holmes of Henderson to claim Lightning division honors as well as the championship.

Craig and Lamb faced off against each other for a shot at the coveted NHRA "Wally" trophy.  (The Wally is the National Hot Rod Association's most prized statuette, much like The Motion Picture Academy's Oscar).  Craig defeated Lamb to add the Wally to his trophy collection.
