Long Beach¿s Blodgett wins Friday's $5,000 Super Pro finale;

B&M Vegas Bracket Championship continues Sat. and Sun.

 

Mike Blodgett of Long Beach, Calif., became the first big winner of the weekend when he defeated Larry Spitali of Glendale, Ariz., in the $5,000-to-win Super Pro finale Friday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  Friday opened The Strip¿s  three-day B&M Vegas Bracket Championship and attracted entries from as far away as Idaho.

 

Bob Coulter of Las Vegas won the final round of Pro competition and John Irving of Boulder City claimed Street honors.

 

Run-for-the-Money winners included: Bob Coulter (Pro), Ed Dialogue (Super Pro) and Ron Landram (Street).
