Troy Coughlin of Delaware, Ohio, won the Street Car Super Nationals tonight at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Coughlin’s new JEGS Corvette singled in the final round when the car of opponent Jose Manuel of Ball Ground, Ga. suffered a broken engine block. Earlier in the event, Manuel earned No. 1 Qualifier status with a pass of 5.730 sec./259.16 mph. Coughlin put on a show for the fans and ran 254.18 mph in the final.

The event drew entries from across the U.S. and Canada, including 84-year-old Willard Kinzer of Allen, Ky. Kinzer earned No. 1 Qualifier status in the Extreme Drag Radial class (230.92 mph) but was eliminated in the semi-final round.

John Phlegar of Las Vegas won the Bracket 1 final over Keith Winters of Las Vegas.

Kevin “Dak” Spears of Las Vegas defeated Curt Milledge of Helena, Montana in the Open Comp class.

Mike Murillo (San Antonio, Texas) defeated Richard Klann (Alto Ve, Calif.) in the Outlaw 10.5 final.

The Extreme Drag Radial honors went to Eric Dillard of Ball Ground, Ga. over Dave Bowman of Fremont, Calif.

Michael DeMayo (Butler, Pa.) took the Hot Street final over Victor Brum (Peoria, Ariz.).

Jeff Young defeated Kevin Young in the Wild Street finale. Both drivers are from Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Outlaw 8.5 honors went to Ryan Jones of Canoga Park, Calif. Brent Ramsey of LaSalle, Colo. was the runner-up.

Fred Geling of Loveland, Colo. defeated Justin Spencer of Las Vegas in the Mustang Madness finale.

Ron DeHoop of Bellflower, Calif. won Triple Index class honors over runner-up Dan Fischer of Redwood City, Calif.

Super Index honors went to Doug Crumlich of Irvine, Calif. over runner-up Doug Carter of Henderson.
