Nearly 500 drivers from 24 states and Canada and Mexico competed in the Third Annual K&N Spring Fling Vegas at The Strip at LVMS April 22-26, and the five days of racing was a consummate success. Todd Zampese of Universal City, Texas, became the event's first double-class winner on Sunday after taking titles in the Super Pro and Pro divisions, and a number of Las Vegas-area drivers were also in action throughout the week.

Preston "Peeps" Pennington of Three Rivers, Texas, won the Super Pro class on consecutive days on Thursday and Friday, defeating six-time World Champion Jeg Coughlin Jr. in Friday's championship final. In addition, 70-year-old Richard McFarland of Yucca Valley, Calif., won the Super Pro division on Saturday in his 2004 Behrens.
