From the Starter's Stand: Bubba Night at the Bullring

Friday, May 29, 2009

This weekend should be a great one for racing!  It is one of my favorite weekends: Bullring Bubba Night!

I will never forget the year that we had a semi-truck full of live sheep drive around the track!  It was hilarious!  Being as close as I was to them, they didn't smell all that great, but it was funny to see the sheep sticking their faces out of the truck to see what was going on. Too funny!

I can't wait to see what happens this year on Bullring Bubba Night.  We will have all of our divisions racing so it is going to be a great show.

I hope to see everyone out this weekend. Come out and enjoy a night with family and friends, enjoy some great racing and see what crazy things happen this year on Bullring Bubba Night.

Have a terrific Friday and as always...see ya at the races!!

My spouse and I spent Saturday night at the Bull Ring, something that we make sure that we do at least a couple times each year. We were given a laundry list of requests from family members back east to pick up from the souvenir stand. It's always fun to try and find items with a Las Vegas flair to them to send to family members who've been sent around the country. We were disappointed to read this morning that the feature race winner was disqualified. We are curious as to why? Did we watch a race that was won by a cheater? If so, please tell Mr. Dustin Ash that he has single-handedly alienated us from the speedway for the rest of this season. We'd rather not watch competition that is tainted by someone who is playing outside the rules. That race was the FEATURE RACE and it should be a FAIR feature race.
