    The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will honor its 2002 E.T. Bracket Racing Series champions at its annual awards banquet on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003. The awards banquet will take place at Surf City Bar & Grill at 7 p.m.

    The Strip at LVMS will present the second annual late-season, high-dollar event -- renamed the 2003 Las Vegas E.T. Championships -- on Nov. 13-16, 2003. The four-day event will open on Thursday, Nov. 13, with a Test 'n' Tune and the Road to Vegas Showdown.

    Mark Cook of LaGrange, Ohio, today won the final round of Super Pro competition to complete Saturday's round of the rain-delayed Wild, Wild West Thanksgiving Classic at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The second round of Super and Pro drag racing had been completed on Saturday evening when rain again fell on The Strip. The rain, coupled with falling temperatures, caused Saturday's race to be continued on Sunday morning.

    The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway opened its inaugural three-day Wild, Wild West Thanksgiving Classic on Friday, Nov. 29. Rick Northup of Boise, Ida., claimed the $2,500 Super Pro first prize while Matt Vanderlip of Chatsworth, Calif., earned the Pro division victory.
