Team Vegas 1 – the group of bracket racers representing The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway – won Team Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the NHRA Summit Racing Series Pacific Division Finals in Bakersfield, Calif.
The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway held its annual National Dragster Challenge for racers in the T.R.E. Bracket Series on Sunday, Sept. 16, during the Super Chevy Show.
The Las Vegas husband-wife racing team of John and Becky Phlegar scored twice this weekend. John defeated Jason Dawson in the Top Comp final and Becky eliminated Keith Winters for Bracket 1 honors.
Keoki Desa of Las Vegas won the NHRA National Dragster Challenge final in the Thunder Division on Monday when his opponent, Taylor Lee of Las Vegas, fouled on the starting line. Lee won Saturday’s Jr. 8-9 final on Sunday.

The NHRA Big O Tires Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host some of the most exciting racing of the season. In addition to great racing, LVMS has planned activities off of the quarter-mile strip for all ages.
The two 2013 NHRA event dates in Las Vegas will be April 5-7 (14th annual NHRA SummitRacing.com Nationals) and Oct. 24-27 (13th annual NHRA Big O Tires Nationals).
Millen faced Fredric Aasbo of Norway in the final. Aasbo’s Scion hit the wall during the first run of the final. Although Aasbo was not injured, his car was damaged and could not continue.
The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway roared back to life from its month-long summer break with the TRE Championship Bracket Series and Short Line Express Market Jr. Dragster Series on Saturday, Aug. 18.

Glen Copley (Las Vegas) defeated Michael Hadtrath (N. Las Vegas) in the Quick Street final.
The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is going to test a new category as part of the T.R.E. Bracket Series on four event nights during the 2012 season. The class, which will be known as Pro Index, will be contested on a four tenths pro tree with an index of 9.60.

The 2012 Las Vegas Motor Speedway Short Line Express Market Jr. Dragster Championship Series will consist of 12 point events.
The 2012 Tony Rowe Enterprises’ Las Vegas Bracket Drag Racing Series Presented By TRE Operation Street Legal will consist of nine (9) races. Each participant’s seven (7) best finishes will count toward the title.
The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host its annual Wicked HP bracket racing banquet on Saturday, Feb. 4 in the Neon Garage in the infield of the superspeedway. The banquet also will honor the champions of the Short Line Express Markets Jr. Drag Racing Series.
Additional test days will be held on Monday, Feb. 6 and Tuesday, Feb. 7 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Cost is $600 per car/per day with a 20-car maximum (first come, first served on morning of test at 8 a.m.). Feb. 6-7 test is closed to the public.
