Las Vegan Brendan Gaughan looks to pull off a pair of wins at the Las Vegas 350 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race Oct. 13 and The Orleans 150 NASCAR Winston West event Oct. 12 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway¿s 1.5-mile superspeedway.

A two-time Winston West champion, Gaughan has announced that he will return to the series for The Orleans 150 and try to pull off a sweep of the weekend¿s races.

"This is Orleans Racing¿s home and we won the last race and we want to be able to pull a double this weekend," Gaughan said. "We want to try to win both races. We feel like we have the equipment to do it."

A full-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver and the leading rookie contender, Gaughan has won two races and would like to prove himself on his home track in front of all his friends and family members.

"The whole team, from my dad down to everybody on the team wants to go win Vegas," said Gaughan. "Orleans Racing has always been geared up for the Vegas races. It makes the guys feel at home."

Competing in the Winston West race will give Gaughan an added advantage to add to his other credentials at the 1.5-mile superspeedway. As a part-time Richard Petty Driving Experience instructor, Gaughan has logged many more laps at LVMS than his fellow competitors.

"We do think we know the track better than anyone else," said Gaughan. "We definitely think that the NAPA gang might be something to contend with in Vegas."

The Las Vegas 350 is set for Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. and The Orleans 150 for Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
