Jeff Gordon to appear in

LVMS SpeedZone March 6, 2004


            Four-time NASCAR Winston Cup Series champion Jeff Gordon will appear in Las Vegas Motor Speedway¿s SpeedZone Fan Hospitality Area during the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400/Sam¿s Town 300 NASCAR Weekend.

            Gordon, the 2001 winner of the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400, will appear on Saturday morning, March 6, prior to the Sam¿s Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series event. Other drivers will be announced over the next several weeks.

            Gordon will spend 15 minutes in the hospitality area answering questions from fans who purchase the Speed Zone package.  In addition to the driver appearances, SpeedZone attendees will receive a pre-race pit tour, continental breakfast, lunch entrée, dessert, a preferred parking pass, a closed circuit TV feed of the racing action and non-alcoholic beverages.

            A two-day SpeedZone package is available for $149. A Sunday-only pass is $99. Race fans can purchase the SpeedZone by calling the speedway at 1-800-644-4444 ext. 8285.             The UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 NASCAR Nextel Cup event is scheduled for Sunday, March 7. It will be preceded by the Sam¿s Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series event on Saturday, March 6. Qualifying for both events is slated for Friday, March 5. In addition, the KB Home Showdown, a 100-lap Super Late Model event, will be on the Bullring on Saturday, March 6 and the O¿Reilly World of Outlaws will compete on the half-mile dirt track Thursday and Friday.
