Racing legend Mario Andretti

opens Indy car racing school

Mario Andretti, often referred to as the greatest race car driver of all time, has opened an Indy-style driving experience called the Mario Andretti Racing School Presented by The Archipelago Exchange (Arca/Ex), the world¿s first totally open, all-electronic stock exchange.  Andretti was at Las Vegas Motor Speedway today to make the announcement.

¿Auto racing is not like any other spectator sport in terms of trying it out,¿ said Andretti.  You can watch the Masters, and then buy yourself a set of golf clubs and get a tee time.  You can watch the US Open, and then grab a tennis racquet and hit the courts.  The same with baseball, football, snowboarding, archery...  It¿s not that simple with auto racing.  This school will let anyone experience firsthand the rush of driving a race car.¿

Robert Lutz, who was instrumental in the success of the Richard Petty Driving Experience and was the founder of Driving 101, will be the president and chief executive officer of Andretti¿s school.

¿My involvement with other driving schools has prepared me to offer the most professional and technically advanced racing school in the world,¿ Lutz said.  ¿I can truly say nothing else can compare to the Mario Andretti Racing School Presented by The Archipelago Exchange (Arca|Ex).  This is going to be an exhilarating experience that no race fan will want to miss. ¿

¿We congratulate Bob Lutz and his co-workers on bringing Mario Andretti into their organization,¿ said Chris Powell, Las Vegas Motor Speedway general manager.  ¿We're proud to be involved with one of the world's most legendary drivers and we wish the Mario Andretti Racing School at LVMS all the best.¿
Mario Andretti Racing School Presented by The Archipelago Exchange (Arca|Ex) is the most elite racing school in the world.  While based in Las Vegas, there will be programs offered at tracks nationwide.  The school¿s fleet of single seat and two-seat Indy-style race cars will allow anyone 18 years old with a driver¿s license to be Mario for a day.  The school already has reservations from race fans, general thrill seekers and numerous groups from corporate America who want to reward or entertain customers or simply host a day of team building.  For more information on scheduling, pricing, course descriptions ¿ or for reservations ¿ call 1-877-ANDRETTI or visit the website at
