LVMS' 2005 NASCAR Weekend tickets now on sale

Tickets for the 2005 NASCAR Weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway are now on sale.

The eighth annual UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 NASCAR Nextel Cup event is set for March 13, 2005. Also that weekend are the Sam's Town 300 NASCAR Busch Series event (March 12) and Pole Day (March 11). Race fans can call 1-800-644-4444 or log on to to purchase tickets.

"Our NASCAR Weekend has grown each year," said Chris Powell, LVMS general manager. "Fans have the opportunity to acquire tickets for the some of the best seats at the speedway. That includes the popular Dale Earnhardt Terrace, which opened to rave reviews earlier this year with its fantastic views of the entire speedway and pit road, not to mention Nellis Air Force Base and the panoramic Las Vegas Strip."

Race fans purchasing weekend packages receive seating priority from year to year. Weekend packages include front-stretch seats for the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 and Sam's Town 300 as well as a free ticket to Pole Day.

Las Vegas Motor Speedway also is offering weekend pit passes. These passes, which must be accompanied by a ticket and are not to be confused with garage passes, allow fans access to the infield and pit-road areas during practice, qualifying and pre-race.

Matt Kenseth is the defending champion of the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400, while Kevin Harvick claimed victory in this year's Sam's Town 300.
