NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver and defending UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 winner Jimmie Johnson didn't find what he was looking for during the morning test session Tuesday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Johnson, who addressed the media at a press conference Tuesday afternoon, spun out during the morning test session as he exited Turn 4. "The morning's been fun," joked Johnson. "Today is about getting a lot of things out of the way for the start of the season and I had my first spin. There's something relieving about spinning. Definitely not hitting anything, but when you spin out and drive off and say, 'all right, now I can move forward.'" Johnson also commented on teammates Kyle Busch and Brian Vickers, who also participated in the press conference, and the success he expects to come from both this season. "Kyle has really shown so much ability inside the race car," said Johnson. "I think we take for granted that he is 20 and that he has a lot of great years ahead of him. I think you'll see amazing things out of the (No.) 5 and the (No.) 25 year." Busch, who finished second to Johnson last March at LVMS, says that starting his second year will bring him a lot of comfort at LVMS. "There's a little bit more of a comfort level that's been built up so far," said Busch. "To be able to come back out here to Vegas with the experience I have now makes it a little bit easier to try to do better." Johnson and teammate Brian Vickers feel that the changes in how the teams work together at Hendrick Motorsports will bring big success to all four teams. "I feel for the first time that all the teams are in equal positions," said Vickers. "It brings in a lot of confidence knowing that Jeff and Jimmie have run well (at LVMS)." Johnson, Busch, and Vickers all are testing at LVMS today. The public is invited to watch the test sessions free of charge each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The following is a tentative list of drivers participating in the test: Wednesday: Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson, Kasey Kahne, Matt Kenseth, Bobby Labonte, Terry Labonte, Sterling Marlin, Jeremy Mayfield, Casey Mears, Joe Nemechek, Ryan Newman, Kyle Petty, Scott Riggs, Denny Hamlin, Brian Vickers and J.J. Yeley. Tickets for the March 10-12 NASCAR Weekend UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 and Sam's Town 300 are available by calling 1-800-644-4444 or visiting
