Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Public Relations Department will be providing weekly construction updates as the speedway undergoes its multi-million dollar facelift, which will result in a new fan interactive garage area, a pit road closer to the grandstands, resurfaced and re-banked racing surface and state-of-the-art media center.

In the past week, construction crews have completed the following tasks:

  • Completed the inside retaining wall around the entire superspeedway.
  • Began installing the Musco lighting system in the infield. Lights and mirrors have been erected through turns 1 and 2 and down the back straightaway.
  • Began putting the poles for the catch fence along the front straightaway.
  • Completed the application of the base course foundation of the superspeedway.
  • Continued infrastructure work for the new Busch Series garage and media center.
