The second-largest balloon festival in the country will take over the infield at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this Saturday and Sunday. The Ford Trucks Red, White & Blue Balloon Festival is an event for the entire family and will feature 26 special shape balloons and 20 race balloons.

Attendees will see the Energizer Bunny, a dinosaur, the Meadow Gold Dairy flying cow "Airabelle", two bees, a beaver, a dragon, a pumpkin, a Gargoyle, a football, the Space Shuttle, a lighthouse, American flag, United Van Lines moving van, Hopper T. Frog, Noah's Ark, a daisy, Woodrow the Tree and many more. The average height of these balloons is nine stories. The Energizer Bunny balloon is taller than the Statue of Liberty and its head is bigger than the heads on Mount Rushmore.

Festivities will begin at 3 p.m. with music, remote control balloons, food, vendor village, children's play area with a 120' slide and jump houses. Tether balloon rides will start at 3 p.m., the rest of the balloons will begin to inflate at 4 p.m. and all will be inflated by 4:30 p.m. From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. all balloons will be tethered as they light their burners to create an awe-inspiring light show. Guests are invited on to the field where they can walk among these illuminated giants.

Admission is free to all events with a donation to the families of our service men and women from Nellis Air Force Base.
