It's over.  The next time you see NASCAR drivers at Las Vegas Motor Speedway they will be fighting for starting positions in the UAW-Dodge 400 and Sam's Town 300.  The 2008 NASCAR Preseason Thunder Las Vegas and NASCAR Nationwide Series test sessions at Las Vegas have concluded.

Johnny Benson's No. 20 Toyota was the fastest car in today's morning and afternoon sessions.  Benson's best lap in the afternoon was 29.596 sec./182.457 mph.  Second Jason Leffler, also in a Toyota, at 29.721 sec./181.690 mph. Third was Steve Wallace, son of 1989 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Rusty Wallace, at 29.740 sec./181.574 mph in a Dodge.

The first and only accident of the two-day Nationwide Series test occurred today at 1:30 p.m. when  Landon Cassill crashed in Turn 4. He was not injured.
