Las Vegas Motor Speedway will welcome local companies and more than 1,500 of their employees for the Las Vegas Corporate Challenge Walk and Bike Race on Tuesday and Wednesday. The walk will be held Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and the bike race will take place on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Each event will feature participants from several major Las Vegas corporations.

Corporate Challenge provides a healthy way for local companies and their employees to stay active in the community while adding a social component for those that want to sit on the sidelines and cheer on their colleagues. The event brings the spirit of the Olympics to a local and more intimate playing field. Corporate Challenge offers 33 different events throughout the Las Vegas area during a 12-week period. Events began in March and will continue through the second week of June 2009.

"The City of Las Vegas is fortunate to have such partners as Las Vegas Motor Speedway to host the Corporate Challenge Walk and Bike Race," said City of Las Vegas Corporate Challenge Coordinator Andrea Anzalone. "Through their generosity we are able to offer two events, have 1,500 participants and are able to improve the quality of life of professionals in the Las Vegas Valley."
