Turky al Zafiri of Ball Ground, Ga., scored a $20,000 payday by winning the Outlaw Pro Mod final over Q-80 Racing teammate Eric Dillard on the final day of the 10th annual Street Car Super Nationals on Monday at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Zafiri, driving a 1969 Camaro, earned the trophy when Dillard, also of Ball Ground, Ga., broke in the final. Zafiri also was the top Pro Mod qualifier (5.599 seconds) and posted the low E.T. (5.567) of the event in the class.
Scott Horsley of Las Vegas won the Street Muscle division by defeating Nick Johanns of Castle Rock, Colo., in Monday's final.
Rick Snavely of Los Angeles won the Turbo Pro Mod class while Taylor Lastor of Cleveland, Texas, was the Outlaw 10.5 class winner.
Chris Alston Jr. of Elk Gove, Calif., won the XDR/TT5 class and Roger Holder of Bakersfield, Calif., took top honors in Pro Radial.
Eric Gustafson of Vernon, Calif., won the Wild Street class and Michael DeMayo of Butler, Pa., won Hot Street.
Outlaw 8.5 was won by Joe Gallagher of Albuquerque, N.M., and Don McDavitt of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., won Super Index.
Brian Weber of Black Diamond, Wash., took top honors in Triple Index, San Francisco's Sergio Felipe won Mustang Madness and Bob Bundy of Yakima, Wash., won Bracket 1.
Next up at The Strip is the 13th annual Thanksgiving weekend Las Vegas Bracket Nationals. Racing starts on Wednesday and concludes Sunday.
