The Las Vegas Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities will host the 13th annual Drive for Charity Golf Tournament Presented by Insomniac on Monday, June 8 for a great cause.
Speedway Children's Charities' Las Vegas Chapter will receive all proceeds from the charity tournament, and participants will be enjoying one of the top courses in town and receiving a variety of goodies all in the name of helping the children of Southern Nevada. TPC Summerlin, one of the most prestigious courses in all of Nevada, hosts a PGA Tour event each year and is renowned among golfers.
The private club will open its doors and give locals a unique opportunity to play one of the most treasured tracks around. The course has been rated as "One of America's Best Golf Courses" by Golf Digest magazine and the No. 1 private golf course in Nevada by Nevada Business Magazine.
In addition to Insomniac, the event is co-sponsored by Las Vegas Motor Speedway, The Cannery, Enterprise, Big Valley Towing, City National Bank and ESPN Radio Las Vegas. Registration begins at 7 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
The tournament helps those in need in Southern Nevada and benefited more than 45 charities in 2014 alone.
The entry fee is $1,000 per foursome or $250 for individuals, and players will receive a round of golf, golf cart use, unlimited range balls, continental breakfast, awards lunch, gifts and goodie bags. Complimentary chair massage and a ball drop, courtesy of Maverick Helicopters, also will be available.
The tournament also will feature a raffle, with prizes ranging from golf foursomes, nostalgic coolers from Coca-Cola and window tinting to spa packages and NASCAR tickets. To register, contact Paulette Anderson at 702.632.8242 or log on to lasvegas.speedwaycharities.org/ for more information.
