With points races tight in a number of classes heading into the final race weekend of 2015 at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the stage is set for high drama at the short track on Sept. 26.

In the NASCAR Super Late Model division, five-time track champion Scott Gafforini will have to hold off good friend Dennis Rock Jr. if he is to add title No. 6 on Zero Teen Fatalities presents Clark County School District Night. Gafforini leads Rock Jr. 527-515, but had engine trouble at the last race on Sept. 12 and lost 19 points off his lead.

Gafforini's motor gave out in that race, but Rock Jr. is loaning him one for the final regular-season tilt at the famed 3/8-mile paved oval.

"He's given me a good engine, so he's going to have to drive his butt off," said Gafforini, who already locked up another NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Nevada state championship. "It's a win-win situation for us, and as long as one of us finishes first or second, that's all that matters."

Aaron McMorran will carry an 11-point lead over defending division champion Martin Sullins in the NASCAR Bombers class, 525-514, into the final race, and Court Connell (508 points) and Michael Greve (505) are also within striking distance in the ever-competitive class. The Bombers division is routinely one of the most competitive races each night, and that should be the case again on Championship Night.

The NASCAR Grand American Modified division features another close race, with defending champion Jason Irwin leading Doug Hamm 404-393 in the standings. Two-time defending champion Michael Todd Glazier's slim four-point advantage over Randy Beddow in the USLCI Legends-Master class is another tight battle to watch on the season's final night of racing.

In addition, defending champion Jason Kiser leads Matt Larsen 522-491 in the NASCAR Super Stocks class, and Devin Lane is just 12 points clear of Brian Williams in the USLCI Legends-Semi-Pro division (614-602).

Some drivers have virtually secured season titles, including defending champion Peyton Saxton (USLCI Legends-Pro), Cameron Morga (USLCI Legends-Young Lions), Ian Anderson (USLCI Thunder Cars), Kyle Jacks (USLCI O'Hanley's Bandolero Outlaws) and R.J. Smotherman (USLCI O'Hanley's Bandolero Bandits).

All eight classes - NASCAR Super Late Models, Bombers, Grand American Modifieds and Super Stocks, as well as USLCI Legend Cars, Thunder Cars and O'Hanley's Bandoleros - will be in action on Championship Night.

All Clark County School District students, teachers and staff will be admitted free with a valid ID on the special night, which will also include a BMX demonstration and skid plate cars. It should be a great night for the whole family.

One of the most affordable entertainment options in Las Vegas, the Bullring's annual series will feature family friendly concession prices that include $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer. Spectators can also save money by purchasing admission tickets in advance by visiting or calling the LVMS ticket office at 702.644.4444 or online at LVMS.com.
