Don Sargent's sweep of both NASCAR Super Stocks features at The Bullring on Saturday has him atop his division's points standings heading into May's races.

The short track veteran earned his 19th and 20th career victories at the famed 3/8-mile paved oval on College Night and now leads the Super Stocks class with 80 points. Previous leader Joe DeGuevara is second with 67, while Utah's Matt Larsen is third at 63.

Sargent was one of three drivers to take over divisional points leads this past weekend. Sam Jacks (NASCAR Bombers) had a win and a second in his class' double features to grab the points lead by six, 122-116, ahead of Michael Greve, while four-time track champion Caden Carlin took over the USLCI Legends-Young Lions lead from Dezel West. Carlin leads West 64-47 heading into the next event, Gaming Industry Night on May 14.

All other division leaders held serve, with Chris Bosley breaking a tie with Travis Boyle after winning the USLCI Thunder Cars feature. Bosley leads Boyle 93-90 in what is shaping up to be one of the most competitive season points battles at the track.

Cameron Morga (USLCI Legends-Pro), Michael Todd Glazier (USLCI Legends-Masters), Brian Williams (USLCI Legends-Semi-Pro), Kayla Eshleman (USLCI Bandolero Outlaws), R.J. Smotherman (USLCI Bandolero Bandits) and Robert Smotherman (Skid plate cars) all retained their divisional leads on College Night. The NASCAR Super Late Models and Grand American Modifieds did not run on Saturday night, and Scott Gafforini and Peyton Saxton lead those classes, respectively.

Bullring drivers earn 2016 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series points during the season through Championship Night on Sept. 24. They return to the track May 14 for Gaming Industry Night, with gates opening at 5 p.m. Pacific Time and racing action starting at 7.

One of the most affordable entertainment options in Las Vegas, the Bullring features family friendly concession prices that include $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer. Spectators can also save money by purchasing tickets in advance by visiting or calling the LVMS ticket office at 702.644.4444 or going online at LVMS.com.
