NASCAR Super Late Models driver Justin Johnson is the new Bullring points leader after his win on the Night of Fire on Saturday night.

Johnson, who also won the special night's NASCAR Grand American Modifieds feature, earned 27 points for his SLM victory and leads six-time track champion Scott Gafforini 187-186 heading into the season's final three races. Johnson has Bullring season titles in the USLCI Thunder Cars and Bandolero Outlaws divisions and is looking for his first SLM divisional crown.

Vinny Raucci Jr. used a second-place finish to Johnson in the NASCAR Grand American Modifieds race on Saturday night to overtake Peyton Saxton for the divisional points lead. He leads Saxton 110-101 and is looking for his first track title at The Bullring.

Camden Larsen also passed Kayla Eshleman for the USLCI Bandolero Outlaws points lead over the weekend and leads her 162-161 with three races remaining. Matthew Cunningham is a close third with 156 in one of the tightest division battles of the season.

Dezel West is the other new leader after jumping over Caden Carlin in the USLCI Legends-Young Lions class. West holds a slim 164-163 margin over the four-time Bullring track champion.
All other divisional leaders remained on top, with Don Sargent (NASCAR Super Stocks), Sam Jacks (NASCAR Bombers), Cameron Morga (USLCI Legends-Pro), Michael Todd Glazier (USLCI Legends-Masters), Brian Williams (USLCI Legends-Semi-Pro), Travis Boyle (USLCI Thunder Cars), R.J. Smotherman (USLCI Bandolero Bandits) and Robert Smotherman (Skid plate cars) all keeping their No. 1 positions.

Each driver's worst finish will be dropped from the equation at the end of Championship Night on Sept. 24, a new wrinkle for 2016 that could determine a track title or two.

Drivers are now on a seven-week break from action at the 3/8-mile paved oval, with racing returning to the short track on Saturday, Aug. 27. The Keith Danser Kids Candy Toss Presented by Whelen Engineering is one of three remaining race nights on the 2016 Bullring schedule, with Back to School Night following on Sept. 10 and Championship Night on Sept. 24.

One of the most affordable entertainment options in Las Vegas, the Bullring features family friendly concession prices that include $2 hot dogs and Coca-Cola products and $3 Budweiser beer. Spectators can also save money by purchasing tickets in advance by visiting or calling the LVMS ticket office at 702.644.4444 or going online at LVMS.com.
