A winner has been selected for Las Vegas Motor Speedway's Smith's 350 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series program cover design contest and he hails from the heart of NASCAR country.

A design by David Hahn, of Charlotte, N.C., was selected to be the cover of the 2010 Smith’s 350 souvenir program. The digitally-designed cover features a NASCAR Camping World truck and an image of LVMS’s start-finish line.

Hahn, a supervisor in the recruiting division of the U.S. Air Force, also has been working in freelance graphic design for more than 15 years. He is no stranger to the racing world.

"I have been involved with motorsport graphic design since 1996," said Hahn, whose website is www.graphicwolfart.com. "I went to the Ringling School of Art and Design before enlisting in the Air Force. I have been a race fan since before I can remember, following just about every series. I’ve followed many different drivers, including Jeff Burton, Al Holbert and Emerson Fitipaldi. My passion for racing inspired this design."

Although he lives on the East coast, Hahn is no stranger to racing at LVMS. He has attended several NASCAR events at LVMS with his brother, Greg, who lives in Las Vegas and will be in attendance for the Smith’s 350 on Sept. 25.

“I am excited to get back out that way and see the finished product and watch an exciting race,” Hahn added. “The Trucks always bring it!  I also hope to gain a little exposure through this opportunity. I will get a real kick out of seeing all of the program covers with my design around the track and hearing what people think of my work.”

In addition to his artwork being featured in the souvenir program, Hahn will be a VIP guest of LVMS and will receive four suite and Neon Garage passes for the Smith’s 350 and will be photographed with the race winner in victory lane.
