Race fans who want to race with celebrities and get closer to NASCAR’s Chase drivers have several opportunities to do so thanks to several local media outlets.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal, KVVU FOX 5, Lotus Broadcasting and Beasley Broadcasting are all running live contests for race fans leading up to the Chasers for Charity Fanfest Dec. 1 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Each outlet will choose a grand prize winner, who will get to race against several local celebrities and 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rookie of the year Kevin Conway in a special go-kart race. The winners also receive VIP tickets to the Speedway Feud game show, which will include all 12 Chase drivers and be held following the go-kart race. Many of the outlets are awarding VIP tickets as consolation prizes as well.

To enter to win through the Las Vegas Review-Journal, either look for the ad in the newspaper or register online at www.lvrj.com/promotions/chasersforcharity-rj. To enter with KVVU FOX 5, watch for the on-air ads or register online at www.fox5rewards.com. Race fans can enter to win via the radio by listening to KOMP 92.3-FM or KCYE The Coyote at 104.3-FM.

The Chasers for Charity Fanfest is the kick-off event for NASCAR Champion’s Week in Las Vegas. The free fan event is highlighted by an appearance by the 12 Chase drivers who will participate in a Family Feud-style game show. The event includes track tours, a celebrity go-kart race, show cars, the Sprint Experience, live music, Richard Petty Driving Experience rides and a question and answer session with SPEED personalities Krista Voda and Larry McReynolds. The event is free to the public and will be held in the Neon Garage at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Bus transportation is available through Coach America.
