One of the busiest drag strips in the country will be a hotbed of activity again in 2017.

Two National Hot Rod Association events, combined with 12 bracket races, 11 O'Reilly Auto Parts Midnight Mayhem sessions and 10 LVMS Jr. Dragster events, highlight an action-packed schedule at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway next year. All totaled, nearly 50 drag racing events will be contested at the infamous quarter-mile track, which begins its season with the first O'Reilly Auto Parts Midnight Mayhem on Friday, Jan. 27.

The Strip plays host to the DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals March 31-April 2 and the NHRA Toyota Nationals, the penultimate event on the NHRA's Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, Oct. 25-29. Last year, Antron Brown clinched a Top Fuel world championship at The Strip in October for the second consecutive year.

The drag strip will host numerous regional and national events in 2017, including Import Face-Off events on March 19 and Dec. 3, the Spring Fling Million Bracket Race April 10-15, Mopars at The Strip April 20-23 and the Holley LS Fest May 5-7. Add in The BATTLE door car grudge event on May 20, the West Coast Jr. Spectacular Division 7 Jr. Dragster Finals Sept. 15-17, the NHRA Division 7 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series ET Finals Oct. 4-8 and the PSCA Street Car Super Nationals Nov. 14-19 and the schedule of events gets even more impressive.

The Strip, which was just named the NHRA Division 7 LODRS Track of the Year for the fourth consecutive year and fifth time overall, will host at least one event every month in 2017.
