"Carl Edwards not only has proven his talent as a driver, but he also has proven his worth as a great ambassador for NASCAR and motorsports as a whole. While he won twice here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, in 2008 and 2011, equally as important was his ability to connect with fans here in Las Vegas and across the NASCAR landscape. While we're sad to see him depart NASCAR's premier stage, we wish Carl and his family the best."
