Las Vegas Motor Speedway will continue to be the west coast hub for Richard Petty Driving Experience in 2012.
The speedway and Richard Petty Driving Experience will offer more than 150 days of ride-alongs and driving experiences for race fans in 2012. This is an extension of an agreement that dates back to the speedway’s opening in 1996.
“We are extremely happy to be able to offer the world-wide leader in stock car ride and drive entertainment,” said LVMS president Chris Powell. “Thousands of people visit the speedway each year just to experience the high banks in an authentic stock car. And no name is more synonymous with racing than Richard Petty. The driving experience will continue to offer everything from individual riding and driving programs to large corporate groups throughout the year.”
Las Vegas is the west coast home for the Charlotte, N.C.-based Richard Petty Driving Experience, but Petty holds over 800 event days at more than 20 tracks nationwide.
“We are thrilled to continue our program at a beautiful facility such as Las Vegas Motor Speedway and in the most exciting city in the United States,” said Brian Flynn, CEO of Petty Holdings, LLC, owner of Richard Petty Driving Experience. “We have enjoyed a very long and prosperous relationship with LVMS and hope it continues for many years.”
