On the strength of a solid second-place showing on Sunday night, Martin Sullins assumed the points lead in the NASCAR Bomber division at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Sullins entered the Labor Day Weekend Special trailing Don Sargent by 19 points. He took sixth place in the Saturday night feature but rebounded with a runner-up finish on Sunday and now leads the class by 59 points with two NASCAR Whelen All-American Series races remaining. Adam Simon won Sunday's feature race and is second in points, 17 points ahead of Jim Merlino.

In the NASCAR Super Late Model division, four-time track champion Scott Gafforini held onto the points lead with a second-place finish in Saturday night's 40-lap main event. David Anderson, who won the feature, is 21 points behind Gafforini while Dennis Rock Jr. is 40 points out of the lead in third place.

In the NASCAR Super Stock division, Jason Kiser picked up his second win of the season and moved into the points lead by 16 points over Phil Goodwin. Vinny Raucci Jr. is third, 46 points behind Kiser.

Other class points leaders are Jason Irwin (Grand American Modified), Peyton Saxton (Legend Car Pro), Michael Todd Glazer (Legend Car Master), Devin Lane (Legend Car Semi-Pro), Jordan Dean (Legend Car Young Lions), Chris Bosley (Thunder Car), Caden Carlin (Bandolero Outlaws) and Dezel West (Bandolero Bandits).

The next NASCAR Whelen All-American Series event at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be the 13th annual Keith Danser Kids Candy Toss Presented by Whelen Engineering on Sept. 13.
