Bakersfield, Calif. - In the final results from Auto Club Famoso Raceway and the NHRA Pacific Division Summit Racing Series, it was Sonoma Raceway that captured the team championship and four racers are headed to the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championship.

The team from Sonoma Raceway racked up 69 points and beat out the team from Auto Club Famoso Raceway who scored a total of 62 points. Fontana Dragway came in third with a total of 49 points.

In Saturday's Summit E.T. Finals results it was Steve Casner, Sherloan, Calif., taking the win in Super Pro. Casner faced off against Darren Fridolfs and scored a winning run of 9.073 seconds, 104.65 mph to defeat Fridolfs. Fridolfs had no time since he broke before staging.

George Chatterton, Escondido, Calif., and Brian Leasure, Millbrae, Calif., faced off against each other in the Pro E.T. final. Leasure was a little too anxious off the line and Chatterton took the win.

In Sportsman it was Ryan Mangus, Rialto, Calif., drove his '71 Nova to a 12.578, 93.27 mph to take out Dwayne Opperman, Napa, Calif., Opperman broke out which gave the win to Mangus.

Gaige Herrera, La Mirada, Calif., faced off against Aaron Pine in the Motorcycle final. Pine was quicker off the line but Herrera had the better run and picked up the win. Gaige's father Augustine Herrera won the Summit National Championship in 2009.

In the Pacific Division Summit Showdown, four winners were crowned and each will be attending the NHRA Summit Racing Series National Championship at the 50th Annual Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway, Pomona, Calif. The team from Las Vegas scored the win and bragging rights as this year's Summit Showdown Team Champs.

In Super Pro, Dave Meziere, Escondido, Calif., faced off against Roger Kato of North Las Vegas. Both Meziere and Kato had almost identical reaction times but Meziere had the better run down the track to beat Kato and will be attending the Summit ET Finals in Pomona. Kato was looking to repeat his win from a year ago in the Summit Super Shootout.

Gerald Halle also advanced to Pomona with his win in Pro E.T. Halle met D.J. Houmard in the final. Houmard had a great reaction time of 0.005 but it was Halle who had the winning run down the track to take the win.

In Sportsman, Brian Kam advances to the Summit E.T. Finals with his win over Bob Sanders. Kam was better at the tree and down the track to take the win.

In Motorcycle, Aaron Pine, La Mirada, Calif., who was the runner up in Saturday's event, took home the win in the Summit Showdown. This was a close race between Pine and Tony Pellettera. Pine had an almost perfect reaction time of 0.002 and made a run of 8.816 seconds, 148.84 mph to take the win and secure his spot at the Pomona finals. Pellettera posted a runner up finish of 9.245 seconds, 145.42 mph.
